Procedure

Make sure all of your utensils, bottles and workspace have been sterilized. It is also a good practice to wear gloves and a hair net. If you don’t know if you have sensitivities to fragrance oils, it is also a good practice to wear a face mask.

Water Phase: Heat water to between 140 and 158 degrees. Add Germall Plus to water and stick blend lightly to incorporate. Add liquid glycerin. Stir gently.

Oil Phase: Combine oils, emulsifying wax, and stearic acid in melting pour pot or in microwave and heat until completely melted.

Once the water and oils are cooled to around 130 degrees, add the oils to the water and blend with your stick blender until completely incorporated. Let cool a little bit and blend again. Add 0.4 oz fragrance oil and blend a bit more to incorporate the fragrance.

Pour into bottles while still liquid. Once cool, add caps and seal.

Use and enjoy! Your lotion will thicken up as it cools and will be ready to use within 24 hours.
